Castell de Bellver
The fortress of Castell de Bellver is situated in Palma, 112m over the sea, and is unique in Spain because of its circular form. The arcades of the lower levels are Roman; the colonnade of the upper level is gothic. From the outside, the castle looks closed and unreachable while the two-storey loggias, which surround the inner courtyard with its coltish columns, are full of life and soul. From the castle’s strategic check point, a terrace on the second floor, you can admire the endless scenery towards the sea.
