Towns and counties in Majorca
Each location of Majorca has its own specific appeal - the northeast for history, the east coast for beaches and caves, the north and west for spectacular mountains and picture-postcard villages. If you haven’t driven across es pla, then it is considered that you haven’t seen Majorca. It is a worth mentioning place. Es Pla is the fertile plain located at the centre of the island, with its almond groves, windmills and old market towns.
Mallorca is approximately 125 kilometers from east to west and it takes two hours to drive from one end to the other. The transport infrastructure is excellent.
There are several towns in the island. Pollensa, Deia, Valldemosa, Calvia, Palma de Mallorca are some of the towns which are worth mentioning. These are the popular towns of the island of Mallorca/Majorca. Other towns and villages of the island are Banyalbufar, Binissalem, Port de Pollença, Sóller, etc. There are also other towns and villages which are divided according to their region.
Basically the towns and villages are divided according to their region i.e. eastern region, western region, northern region and southern region.
